After studying Art and Architecture at Wathamstow College of Art, Peter Murphy entered the field of architectural design.  He has worked on many successful international projects ranging from designing mosques in Saudi Arabia to Eurodisney in Paris.  Throughout his career his interest in painting has never faltered and he has continued to paint at every opportunity.  Many of Peter Murphys paintings are hung in office foyers and private houses.

Peter has had successful one man shows in the UK, Sweden and Belgium, and has also had works accepted in various open exhibitions. 

 Having spent time working and painting in France, initially living in the Cote d'Azur, he is presently painting and settled in the Dordogne area, in the south west of France.  Peter is now committed to painting and teaching full time, and is currently working on a series of paintings of the local vineyards and Chateaux.  Peter also works on commissions, and would be delighted to discuss any clients, proposals, whether local projects in France or abroad.
